Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency Program is required.
• Applicants must be eligible for American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) certification.
• Candidates should have completed the required graduate medical education (GME) training before starting the fellowship.

The Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM), Chicago is a one-year advanced training program designed for neurologists seeking specialized expertise in the diagnosis and evaluation of neurological disorders through electrophysiological techniques. The fellowship provides comprehensive training in EEG, epilepsy monitoring, EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies, neuromuscular disorders, evoked potentials, and other neurodiagnostic procedures. Fellows receive hands-on clinical experience through epilepsy monitoring units, neurophysiology laboratories, outpatient clinics, and research activities, preparing them for independent practice and eligibility for the ABPN Added Qualification in Clinical Neurophysiology.
