Fellowship Course in Sleep Medicine

• Must hold an MD / DO degree or equivalent (MBBS with postgraduate qualification)
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in one of the following:
• Internal Medicine
• Pulmonary Medicine
• Neurology
• Psychiatry
• Pediatrics
• Family Medicine or related specialty
• Must be board-eligible or board-certified in the primary specialty
• Must be eligible for medical licensure in Maryland (USA)
• For international applicants: ECFMG certification is required
• Must be legally authorized to work/train in the U.S. (typically J-1 visa sponsorship)
• Demonstrated interest or experience in sleep medicine / clinical research (preferred)

The Sleep Medicine Fellowship Program – Clinical at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is a one-year ACGME-accredited training program that provides comprehensive clinical exposure to the evaluation and management of a wide range of sleep disorders. Fellows receive hands-on training in adult and pediatric sleep clinics, gain expertise in interpreting polysomnography and other sleep studies, and manage conditions such as obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, and circadian rhythm disorders. The program emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach, with rotations across pulmonology, neurology, psychiatry, and otolaryngology, along with opportunities to participate in specialized clinics and case discussions. It is designed to develop clinical competence, diagnostic skills, and leadership in sleep medicine, preparing fellows for board certification and advanced clinical practice in the field.
