Fellowship Course in Adolescent Medicine

The Adolescent Medicine Fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine is a two- or three-year ACGME-accredited fellowship providing advanced clinical, research, teaching, and academic training in the comprehensive care of adolescents and young adults. Fellows manage a broad range of conditions including mental and behavioral health concerns, eating disorders, sexual and reproductive health, menstrual disorders, substance use disorders, chronic illnesses, dysautonomia, and somatic symptoms. Training includes primary and consultative care, family planning, gender-diverse care, multidisciplinary management, clinical supervision, and teaching. Fellows also complete research and quality-improvement projects, with protected time for academic development increasing each year.

1. Apply through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service)
2. The program participates in the NRMP Match
3. Applications can be submitted through ERAS starting July 1
4. Fellowship programs can begin reviewing applications from July 15
5. Submit the required ERAS application materials, including supporting documents and recommendation letters
6. Selected applicants are invited for interviews
7. Interviews are typically conducted from mid-August through early October
8. Applicants submit their rank order lists by mid-to-late October
9. Final placement is determined through the NRMP Match, with results typically released in the second week of November
10. Off-cycle start dates may be considered, but priority is given to applicants participating in the standard ERAS/NRMP process
