Fellows receive an annual stipend according to the UIC Graduate Medical Education (GME) fellowship salary scale: PGY-4 – USD 76,251, PGY-5 – USD 79,433, and PGY-6 – USD 84,196 (FY 2024–2025), along with additional benefits.

The Adolescent Medicine Fellowship is a 3-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship program that provides advanced training in the comprehensive healthcare of adolescents and young adults. The program focuses on the physical, emotional, and social health needs of adolescents, including preventive care, reproductive and sexual health, eating disorders, mental health, substance use, chronic disease management, LGBTQ+ health, and health-risk behaviors. Fellows receive multidisciplinary clinical training through inpatient and outpatient services, along with opportunities in research, quality improvement, advocacy, teaching, and community health initiatives. The fellowship prepares physicians for independent practice as adolescent medicine specialists and for leadership roles in clinical care, education, and research.
