The Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at UMass Chan Medical School is a one-year clinical fellowship designed for recent General Gastroenterology fellowship graduates seeking advanced training in ERCP, EUS and other therapeutic endoscopic techniques. Fellows spend most of their training performing advanced procedures and gain experience in complex biliary and pancreatic disorders, therapeutic EUS, EMR, Barrett’s esophagus therapies, deep enteroscopy, enteric stenting and bariatric endoscopy. The program also provides exposure to ESD, POEM, novel endoscopic devices and artificial intelligence in endoscopy, with access to an on-campus animal laboratory for advanced procedural training. UMass Chan performs more than 1,100 ERCPs and 1,500 EUS procedures annually, providing a high-volume clinical environment.
