The Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at UNC School of Medicine is a one-year specialized training program designed for gastroenterologists seeking expertise in complex and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. The fellowship offers intensive hands-on experience in advanced techniques such as ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound, along with exposure to a wide range of complex gastrointestinal conditions in a high-volume academic medical center. Fellows work closely with experienced faculty, participate in both inpatient and outpatient GI services, and are involved in multidisciplinary care. The program also provides opportunities for clinical research and academic development, aiming to prepare fellows for independent practice or careers in academic and interventional gastroenterology.
