The UCSF Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship is a 1-year non-ACGME advanced fellowship program designed for gastroenterologists seeking specialized training in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. The program provides intensive clinical training in Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), along with advanced procedures such as interventional EUS, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM), endoscopic suturing, bariatric endoscopy, and balloon-assisted enteroscopy. Fellows gain experience through high-volume procedural training, inpatient advanced endoscopy services, multidisciplinary case conferences, and clinical research activities, preparing them for careers as expert advanced endoscopists and academic leaders.
