The Anesthesiology Residency Program at the University of Minnesota Medical School provides comprehensive, hands-on training in anesthesiology through exposure to a diverse and complex patient population. The program combines clinical training in general and subspecialty anesthesia, regional anesthesia, acute and chronic pain management, critical care, simulation, and perioperative medicine with structured didactic education, research, quality improvement, and leadership opportunities. Residents also receive individualized mentorship and can pursue combined pathways such as an MBA, MHA, or MPH during residency.
