The Transitional Year Residency Program at Keck School of Medicine of USC is a one-year postgraduate training program designed to provide broad clinical experience before residents enter advanced specialty training such as ophthalmology, dermatology, radiology, or anesthesiology. The program provides inpatient and ambulatory training at Keck Hospital of USC and USC Arcadia Hospital through a structured three-weeks-plus-one-week schedule. Residents can customize their training through electives including cardiology, anesthesiology, dermatology, endocrinology, infectious disease, pulmonary medicine, radiology, nephrology, rheumatology, and palliative care.
