About Course

The Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Minnesota is a one-year, ACGME-accredited program designed to develop expert primary care sports medicine physicians. The fellowship provides comprehensive training in sports injury and illness diagnosis and treatment, musculoskeletal examination, sports medicine ultrasound and procedures, primary care sports medicine, orthopedic sports medicine, research, teaching, and team/event coverage. Fellows gain experience caring for athletes across different competitive levels, including collegiate, high school, and other sporting events

Selected applicants receive interview invitations, primarily in the first two weeks of September.
Interviews are conducted virtually from September through November.
Applicants participate in the AMSSM Fellowship Match process.
