The Sports Medicine Fellowship at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is a one-year multidisciplinary training program that provides immersive experience in sports medicine and non-operative musculoskeletal care. The program offers diverse clinical exposure in the urban setting of Brooklyn, where fellows work with specialists from fields such as orthopaedics, physical medicine & rehabilitation, family medicine, and emergency medicine. Training includes outpatient care, injury evaluation and management, rehabilitation strategies, and collaborative team-based care, enabling fellows to develop expertise in treating athletes and active individuals across a wide range of conditions while gaining strong clinical and practical skills.
