The Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Integrated Residency at the University of Minnesota Medical School is a 6-year integrated residency providing comprehensive training in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Residents develop skills in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, microsurgery, hand surgery, craniofacial surgery, burn care, wound management, and trauma, along with foundational general surgery training. The curriculum includes rotations through plastic surgery, general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, oral surgery, anesthesia, dermatology, burn surgery, and oculoplastics, supported by didactic teaching, operative experience, research, and multidisciplinary patient care. The program prepares graduates for independent practice and further subspecialty fellowship training.
