The Neurotology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is a two-year advanced subspecialty program that provides comprehensive training in the diagnosis and management of complex ear, hearing, and skull base disorders, including balance disorders, facial nerve conditions, and tumors such as acoustic neuromas. Fellows gain extensive hands-on experience in advanced surgical procedures such as cochlear implantation, temporal bone surgery, and lateral skull base surgery, while also participating in multidisciplinary patient care. The program places strong emphasis on academic development, with fellows actively involved in clinical and/or laboratory research, scholarly publications, and teaching activities, preparing them for careers in academic medicine and leadership roles in neurotology, with typically one fellow selected each year for highly focused mentorship and training.
