Neurology Residency Program

1. International Medical Graduates (IMGs) are accepted.
2. IMGs must have a valid ECFMG Certificate.
3. J-1 and H-1B visas can be supported.
4. US clinical experience is not required, although it is encouraged.
5. There is no graduation-year cutoff; all applications are reviewed.
6. USMLE/COMLEX scores are considered as part of a holistic application review, and there is no minimum score cutoff.
7. USMLE Step 2 CK is not required before consideration for an interview

UCLA Adult Neurology Residency provides broad clinical training across neurological subspecialties. Residents receive training through inpatient and outpatient rotations, conferences, formal didactics, and peer-to-peer teaching. Clinical training takes place at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, and the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare Center. Residents can also customize their training through specialized tracks in Research Development, Clinical Educator, Inclusive Excellence, and Global Health.

1. Applications are submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
2. Positions are matched through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
3. Required application materials include USMLE/COMLEX Transcript, Medical School Transcripts, CV, Personal Statement, Photograph, minimum three Letters of Recommendation, and Dean’s Letter/MSPE.
4. Applicants undergo a holistic application review.
5. Selected applicants are invited for virtual interviews through Zoom.
