Neurology Residency Program

1. Applicants must graduate from a medical school in the United States or Canada accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), or from an appropriately accredited osteopathic medical school.
2. International medical graduates must graduate from a medical school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) and meet Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) requirements.
3. Applicants must meet the additional eligibility requirements established by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for Neurology.
4. Applicants must be eligible for postgraduate medical training in California and satisfy Cedars-Sinai's credentialing requirements.
5. The Neurology program includes a preliminary Internal Medicine year followed by the advanced Neurology Residency; applications for the integrated preliminary year are processed by the Neurology Residency Program.

The Neurology Residency Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center provides comprehensive training in adult neurology, combining a preliminary year of Internal Medicine with three years of advanced Neurology training. Residents gain experience in inpatient and outpatient neurological care, complex neurological disorders, neurological emergencies and subspecialty services, while participating in clinical conferences, teaching and research activities. The program is supported by Cedars-Sinai’s multidisciplinary neurosciences environment and prepares residents for independent practice or further fellowship training.

1. Submit the application through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
2. Submit the required application documents and supporting credentials.
3. For the integrated pathway, apply to both the Neurology Residency Program and the associated Med-Preliminary/Neurology program.
4. The program reviews applications and contacts selected applicants regarding interviews.
5. Participate in the interview process if invited.
6. Rank the program through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
7. The Neurology Residency participates in the NRMP under program code 1030180A0.
8. Matched applicants complete the required credentialing, California licensing, and onboarding requirements before starting residency.
