Neurology Residency Program

1. Medical degree: MD or equivalent medical degree.
2. Applicants must be applying for the PGY-1 position for the 2027–2028 academic year.
3. Applicants must submit all required documents through ERAS.
4. USMLE transcript is required.
5. Medical school transcript is required.
6. Curriculum Vitae (CV) is required.
7. Personal statement is required.
8. Minimum 3 letters of recommendation are required.
9. Dean’s Letter/MSPE is required.
10. Applications undergo holistic review by program leadership.
11. The program is unable to sponsor candidates who require a visa at this time.

The Neurology Residency Program at Keck School of Medicine of USC is a four-year ACGME-approved residency providing comprehensive training in adult and pediatric neurology. Residents gain clinical experience in stroke, epilepsy, neurocritical care, movement disorders, memory disorders, neuromuscular diseases, neuroimmunology, headache, neuro-ophthalmology, neuro-oncology, and vascular neurology. Training includes exposure to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as EEG, EMG/NCS, transcranial Doppler, botulinum toxin injections, and headache procedures, along with research, teaching, and academic activities.

1. Apply through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service).
2. Submit the USMLE transcript, medical school transcript, CV, personal statement, 3+ recommendation letters, and Dean’s Letter/MSPE.
3. Applications are reviewed holistically by the program leadership.
4. Selected applicants receive interview invitations through ERAS.
5. The interview season runs from November through mid-January.
6. Interviews are conducted virtually.
7. Candidates participate in the residency Match process for the available positions.
