MD Pediatrics

1. MBBS degree recognized by the National Medical Commission.
2. Completed one-year compulsory internship.
3. Qualified NEET-PG exam with valid score and participated in counseling allotment.
4. Seat allocation through UPDGME (State) / MCC (All India) counseling.

The MD – Paediatrics program at NIIMS is a three-year postgraduate medical course designed to develop specialists in pediatric medicine. The curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge with clinical exposure, focusing on pediatric subspecialties such as neonatology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric neurology, pediatric pulmonology, growth and development monitoring, nutrition and immunization, and pediatric oncology. Students are trained to diagnose and manage a wide range of childhood illnesses, respond effectively to neonatal and pediatric emergencies, and provide preventive healthcare guidance to families. The course emphasizes practical training in hospital wards, outpatient departments, and emergency units, preparing graduates to become competent pediatricians capable of working in hospitals, intensive care units, community health services, and academic settings.

1. Appear and Qualify in NEET-PG: Candidates must take the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate courses and obtain a qualifying score.
2. Register for Counseling: Register for the UPDGME (Uttar Pradesh Directorate of Medical Education & Training) and/or MCC All India Quota counseling process.
3. Choice Filling: Select MD – Paediatrics at NIIMS as a preferred course and college during online choice filling.
4. Seat Allotment: Seat is allotted based on NEET-PG rank, category, and counseling rounds.
5. Document Verification: Complete document verification at the designated nodal center.
6. Fee Payment and College Reporting: Pay the required fee and report to NIIMS to confirm admission.
7. Commence Training: Begin academic sessions and clinical postings as per institute schedule.
