The MD in General Medicine at AIIMS Raebareli is a three-year postgraduate program aimed at developing comprehensive expertise in internal medicine. Residents receive advanced training in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of a wide spectrum of adult medical conditions. The curriculum includes clinical postings in inpatient wards, outpatient clinics, emergency care, and specialty rotations like cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, nephrology, infectious diseases, and gastroenterology. Academic activities such as seminars, journal clubs, case presentations, and bedside teaching are integral to the program. Residents also engage in research and dissertation work under faculty supervision. Graduates are trained to function as competent internal medicine specialists in hospitals, teaching institutions, research centers, and public health organizations.
