1. Must hold MBBS (or equivalent) recognized degree
2. Completed internship as required before cutoff date
3. Must qualify in entrance exam for PG (see below)
4. Admission through counselling & allocation as per quota / reservation rules.

1. CIMS is a government medical college located at Yadapura Village, Chamarajanagar district, Karnataka. Established in 2016, it is affiliated to RGUHS and approved by NMC.

1. The college campus spans ~42 acres, with a teaching hospital (district / tertiary-care hospital) attached — offering a broad range of clinical specialties and serving patients from surrounding rural and tribal areas.

1. MD – General Medicine provides postgraduate training in internal medicine, preparing graduates to diagnose and manage a variety of adult medical conditions, both outpatient and inpatient. Given the hospital’s patient load and varied cases (chronic diseases, emergencies, general medicine), trainees are likely to get significant clinical exposure. The program is full-time, and the degree is awarded under RGUHS’s aegis. The PG course structure at CIMS aligns with NMC norms for MD training.

1. Candidate must appear for and qualify in NEET PG (National Entrance Test for Postgraduate) as conducted by the national authority.

2. Seats are allotted via counselling — for government quota / state quota through the state-level counselling authority (for Karnataka), and for all-India quota via national counselling as applicable.

3. On allotment, candidates must complete admission formalities: document verification, payment of fees (as per government-college fee structure), fulfil internship-completion proofs, etc.

4. After joining, candidate registers for the PG degree under RGUHS and begins academic/clinical training per schedule.
