Overview

Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur is one of the premier government medical colleges in Chhattisgarh, offering a robust postgraduate MD program in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy. The department is well-equipped with facilities for clinical dermatology, specialized diagnostic labs, procedural dermatology (lasers, biopsies), and exposure to community dermatology and public health programs including STD clinics and leprosy control. Students enrolled in this program gain hands-on experience with both inpatient and outpatient dermatologic conditions, skin surgery, management of venereal diseases, and leprosy treatment protocols. The college ensures clinical rounds, seminars, thesis work, and research opportunities. With a relatively small intake (only 3 seats), students often get good exposure and faculty attention. The clinical load is sufficient to see varied cases, helping the students build competence in both diagnosis and management of skin and venereal diseases.

Eligibility

• Must have an MBBS degree from an institution recognised by NMC. 
• Must have completed a one-year compulsory internship. 
• Must have provisional or permanent registration with NMC / State Medical Council.
• Must qualify NEET PG entrance exam and meet cutoff / percentile as per category.
