Overview

The MD in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy (DVL) program at Madhubani Medical College & Hospital provides in-depth training in medical and procedural dermatology. Residents learn to diagnose and manage common and rare skin conditions, sexually transmitted infections, and leprosy. The program includes practical training in dermatological procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, chemical peels, laser therapy, and cosmetic dermatology. Students also rotate through specialized clinics, including leprosy and STI clinics, ensuring comprehensive exposure. Academic development is supported through seminars, journal clubs, case discussions, and research projects. MMC’s dermatology department combines patient care, advanced procedures, and research, preparing graduates to work as dermatologists, academicians, or specialists in hospitals and private practice.

Eligibility

• MBBS degree from an NMC-recognized institution.
• Completion of rotatory internship before the admission cut-off date.
• Permanent/provisional registration with NMC/State Medical Council.
• Must qualify NEET-PG examination conducted by NBE.
• Admission through BCECEB PG Medical Counseling (Bihar).
