MD Dermatology Venereology Leprosy

Overview

Parul Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (PIMSR) in Vadodara offers MD in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy (3 seats) as part of its postgraduate medical programmes. The program provides training in the diagnosis and management of skin, hair, nail, and mucous membrane disorders, sexually transmitted diseases and leprosy. Students are exposed to both medical and surgical dermatology, including dermatopathology, minor dermatosurgery, and outpatient/inpatient care. The clinical training includes exposure to a variety of cases under supervision in derm clinics, operating procedures for skin surgeries, and handling leprosy clinics. The curriculum is structured in line with NMC’s postgraduate regulations, ensuring a combination of theoretical instruction, clinical exposure, and skills in diagnostic and procedural dermatology. Graduates are expected to be competent in treating common and complex dermatologic diseases, conducting relevant procedures, and contributing to preventive dermatology and public health.

Eligibility

• Must hold an MBBS degree (recognized by NMC). 
• Must have completed the compulsory rotating internship. 
• Must qualify in NEET-PG examination. Selection is based on merit from NEET-PG.
