Minimum Education

Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre (VIMS & RC), Bengaluru, is a reputed private medical college affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The institute has a multi-specialty teaching hospital providing extensive clinical exposure and training for postgraduate students.
The MD Dermatology program is designed to train specialists in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, as well as venereology and leprosy. Postgraduate students gain hands-on experience in outpatient clinics, dermatological procedures, skin biopsies, laser therapy, and management of sexually transmitted infections.
Students actively participate in undergraduate teaching, departmental seminars, journal clubs, and research projects, and completion of a dissertation is mandatory. The program emphasizes evidence-based clinical practice, critical thinking, and academic excellence.
