MD Dermatology

The MD Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy program at MVJ Medical College and Research Hospital (MVJMC&RH), Bangalore, is designed to train specialists with strong clinical acumen and ethical practice in dermatology and related fields. The department provides comprehensive exposure to outpatient and inpatient dermatology services, including management of inflammatory skin diseases, infections, pigmentary disorders, autoimmune conditions, and sexually transmitted diseases. Residents receive hands-on training in dermatological procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, electrosurgery, and basic dermatosurgery. The curriculum follows the competency-based postgraduate medical education framework prescribed by the National Medical Commission. Academic activities include seminars, case discussions, journal clubs, clinicopathological meetings, and research methodology sessions. The attached teaching hospital ensures exposure to a diverse patient population, enabling residents to develop diagnostic accuracy and therapeutic expertise. 1. MBBS degree from an NMC-recognized medical college
2. Completion of compulsory rotating internship on or before the prescribed cutoff date

5. Admission through centralized counseling (KEA / MCC)
