MD Community Medicine

The MD in Community Medicine at Dr S. S. Tantia Medical College Hospital & Research Centre is a comprehensive postgraduate medical program designed to develop competencies in public health, preventive strategies, epidemiology, and community healthcare planning. Students learn to evaluate community health needs, design interventions, analyze health data, and contribute to policy and program development. The curriculum integrates rigorous classroom teaching with field visits, research projects, and hands‑on experience at rural and urban health training centres. Under experienced faculty guidance, residents gain exposure to a wide range of public health challenges, including disease surveillance, maternal and child health, sanitation, and health promotion strategies. The program aims to produce skilled public health professionals capable of serving in governmental, NGO, and academic sectors. The college’s attached hospital and community outreach programs provide real‑world exposure to public health concerns. Since the course has been approved by the NMC and affiliated with Tantia University, it follows national standards for postgraduate medical education.

1. Must hold an MBBS degree from an NMC-recognised medical college
