Zydus Medical College & Hospital, Dahod, offers MD in Community Medicine with 4 seats sanctioned for the speciality. The department aims to train students to be public health specialists who can address health issues at the community level, work on prevention and health promotion, manage primary health care systems, plan and evaluate public health interventions, and undertake epidemiological field work. The training includes theoretical lectures, laboratory work, field visits, teaching through urban and rural health training centres, participation in national health programmes, health education and awareness programs, family surveys, outreach camps, etc. Because the college operates under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and serves tribal and underserved communities in the region, there is significant emphasis on applied community health, preventive strategies, and rural health outreach.

1. Complete MBBS degree and internship.
2. Appear for the NEET-PG exam in the relevant year.
3. Register for Gujarat state counselling for PG medical courses (through the Admission Committee for Professional Post Graduate Medical Educational Courses or equivalent body).
4. During counselling, select MD – Community Medicine among the options.
5. Wait for seat allotment based on NEET-PG rank, category, quotas (government/management quotas, etc.).
6. After seat allotment, complete document verification.
7. Pay fees and officially join the college.
