Shantabaa Medical College & General Hospital, Amreli, offers the MD Community Medicine program to train medical graduates in public health and community-oriented medicine. The college is part of Gajera Trust, established in 2017, with good infrastructure for teaching hospitals, lab facilities, community health services and outreach programs. The Community Medicine department engages in epidemiology, research, health surveys, preventive health programs, field postings, and collaboration with local public health systems. With 4 seats for this specialty, residents are exposed to both academic learning and hands-on experience in primary health centres, health camps, disease surveillance, public health administration, and policy implementation. The program follows NMC curriculum and is conducted under the aegis of Saurashtra University. The aim is to produce public health professionals who can work in government or NGO sectors, lead health programmes, conduct research, and respond to community health challenges.

1. Complete MBBS and internship; ensure medical registration.
2. Appear for NEET-PG in the admission year.
3. Obtain your NEET-PG score/rank.
4. Register for Gujarat PG counselling via ACPPGMEC (or relevant state counselling body) when notified.
5. During counselling, select MD Community Medicine at Shantabaa Medical College among your preferred choices.
6. Attend document verification (MBBS degree, internship certificate, registration, NEET-PG score, caste/domicile, etc.).
7. If a seat is allotted, pay the required PG tuition/other fees.
8. Join the course on the stipulated date; attend orientation; begin academic, field and clinical postings; conduct thesis/research as per regulations.
