The Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship at UC Irvine School of Medicine, Irvine is a three-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship designed to train physicians in the comprehensive care of high-risk pregnancies and complex maternal and fetal conditions. The program combines 18 months of clinical training, 12 months of protected research, and 6 months of elective rotations, providing advanced experience in maternal medicine, prenatal diagnosis, fetal disease, advanced obstetric ultrasound, fetal therapy, and multidisciplinary perinatal care. Fellows also participate in teaching, conferences, clinical trials, and graduate-level coursework in biostatistics, epidemiology, genetics, research methodology, clinical trial design, and research ethics. The fellowship prepares graduates for careers as maternal-fetal medicine specialists, academic faculty, and clinical researchers dedicated to improving maternal and fetal health outcomes
