The Master of Science in Health Professions (MSHP) at UTMB’s School of Health Professions is a distance-delivered master’s degree providing a broad foundation in healthcare leadership, ethics, scientific writing, healthcare policy, management principles, and quality assurance. The program is designed for professionals and graduates interested in enhancing their credentials for leadership or managerial roles in diverse healthcare settings. The curriculum includes core courses such as medical ethics, healthcare policy, and scientific writing, as well as specialized courses in human resources leadership, health information management, financing healthcare, quality assurance, and others drawn from health systems and education domains. The MSHP fosters critical thinking, communication skills, and interdisciplinary perspectives necessary for advancing healthcare delivery, education, and administration.
