Fellowship in Simulation

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency (or equivalent)
• Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Must be eligible for a California medical license
• Ability to work as a clinical instructor/attending physician during the fellowship
• Demonstrated interest in simulation-based education, teaching, and academic emergency medicine

The Simulation Fellowship at UC Irvine School of Medicine is an advanced training program designed to develop expertise in simulation-based medical education, clinical skills training, and healthcare simulation methodology. The fellowship provides hands-on experience in designing and conducting high-fidelity simulation sessions, developing educational curricula, evaluating learner performance, and improving patient safety through simulation-based training. Fellows participate in teaching medical students, residents, and healthcare professionals while gaining experience in simulation operations, debriefing techniques, research, and academic education leadership. The program prepares physicians for careers in medical education, simulation leadership, and academic emergency medicine.
