MDS Oral Medicine and Radiology

The candidate must have completed BDS Course with one year internship on or before 31st March of the year of admissions to the MDS course. Admissions are done through a single Common Entrance Test called National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-MDS) conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE).

This branch of dentistry deals with the diagnosis and non surgical management of diseases that are localized to the oral cavity or are oral manifestations of systemic diseases. The phases of dental practice that are essentially concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of medically compromised patients are managed.

Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology is the specialty of dentistry and discipline of radiology concerned with the production and interpretation of images and data produced by all modalities of radiant energy that are used for the diagnosis and management of diseases, disorders and conditions of the oral and maxillofacial region.
