MDS Oral Medicine and Radiology

Candidate must have BDS degree awarded by a university or institute in India & registered with the State Dental Council & has obtained provisional or permanent registration & has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/recognised dental college.

The recognition of the importance of the relationship between the Oro-dental tissues to the other systems of the human body led to the establishment of the separate speciality of Oral Medicine & Radiology. The motto of the department being to "Teach and Treat", the objectives are

• 1. To provide a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical and clinical aspects of Oral Medicine & Radiology.
• 2. To improve analytical and diagnostic skills in identifying oral diseases and their relationships to the other systems.
• 3. To emphasize an attitude that is positive compassionate, receptive to improvement, ethically aware and contributory to the society.
