The International Vaccinology Course is one of the longest-running vaccinology courses by the International Vaccine Institute (IVI), since 2000.
This training program builds knowledge and practical skills related to vaccine science and development, serving as a vital component of IVI’s work to accelerate the development of safe, effective, and affordable vaccines for empowering vaccine equity, impact, and sustainability globally.
The course trains vaccine professionals, welcoming those from low- and middle-income countries, and features world-renowned experts from various fields in vaccinology, immunology, epidemiology, communication, and more.
Training through lectures, quizzes, case studies, networking opportunities, and site visits to tour local vaccine manufacturing facilities with an inclusive and immersive experience.
The course is usually hosted annually at IVI’s headquarters in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Recent courses have also been held simultaneously in Stockholm, Sweden, and Kigali, Rwanda, where IVI’s Europe Regional Office and Africa Regional Office are located.
Lectures will be broadcast across sites to create a shared learning experience, and participants will also engage in site-specific activities and local field trips.
The course fee includes all course materials, daily lunches and refreshments, a networking reception, as well as the welcome dinner.
The airfare, accommodation, and ground transportation are not included in the course fee.
