Interventional Radiology Independent Residency

The Interventional Radiology – Integrated Residency Program at UMass Chan Medical School is a 6-year training program combining diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology education. Residents receive progressive training in image-guided minimally invasive procedures, vascular and nonvascular interventions, diagnostic imaging, critical care and peri-procedural patient management. The program provides exposure to a broad range of radiology subspecialties and advanced interventional techniques, along with opportunities for research, teaching and multidisciplinary patient care.

1. Submit the residency application through ERAS, if required by the program
2. Submit the required application materials, including academic records, examination scores, CV, personal statement and recommendation letters
3. Eligible applicants are reviewed and selected for interview
4. Participate in the applicable NRMP Match
5. Matched candidates must complete UMass Chan GME credentialing, Massachusetts licensure and pre-employment requirements before starting residency
