The Neurocritical Care Fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School is a 2-year fellowship providing multidisciplinary training in the management of critically ill patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions. Fellows receive extensive clinical experience in the Neuro ICU, as well as medical, surgical/trauma, cardiac, and cardiothoracic ICUs. Training includes stroke, neurocritical emergencies, critical care EEG, mechanical ventilation, ECMO, neuroendovascular procedures, neurosurgery, and other advanced critical care techniques. The program also emphasizes simulation, didactic education, quality improvement, clinical research, and participation in national clinical trials.
