Fellowship of Neurocritical Care (FNCC)

The Neurocritical Care Fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School is a 2-year fellowship providing multidisciplinary training in the management of critically ill patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions. Fellows receive extensive clinical experience in the Neuro ICU, as well as medical, surgical/trauma, cardiac, and cardiothoracic ICUs. Training includes stroke, neurocritical emergencies, critical care EEG, mechanical ventilation, ECMO, neuroendovascular procedures, neurosurgery, and other advanced critical care techniques. The program also emphasizes simulation, didactic education, quality improvement, clinical research, and participation in national clinical trials.

2. Submit the latest CV.
3. Submit 3 letters of recommendation, signed and on official letterhead.
4. Submit a personal statement describing your interest in Neurocritical Care and career path.
5. Submit USMLE/COMLEX score reports for Steps/Parts 1, 2, and 3.
6. International Medical Graduates (IMGs) must submit a copy of their ECFMG certificate and indicate their visa status.
7. Competitive applicants are invited for a virtual interview with the Program Director and selected faculty, fellows, and/or APPs.
8. Interviews are conducted between March and June.
9. Match Day is in early August.
