The UAB Women’s Health Pathology Fellowship is a one-year advanced training program in Diagnostic Surgical Pathology with a subspecialty focus on Breast and Gynecologic Pathology. Fellows gain experience in a high-volume surgical pathology service covering a broad range of clinical specimens and participate in interdisciplinary conferences. The program also provides elective rotations in Genitourinary, Musculoskeletal, Head and Neck, Transplant, Gastrointestinal, Cytopathology, Hematopathology, and Molecular Pathology. Fellows can participate in basic, translational, or applied research, with opportunities for publications and presentations at national meetings. Structured lectures and slide sessions support practical diagnostic training, and a selected Pediatric Surgical Pathology rotation at Children’s of Alabama is also available.
