Fellowship in Uveitis and Medical Retina

• Must have completed an accredited Ophthalmology residency training program
• Must hold an MD or equivalent medical degree
• Must be eligible for medical licensure in Illinois
• Candidates should have completed ophthalmology specialty training before starting the fellowship
• Applicants should have an interest in uveitis, ocular inflammatory diseases, and medical retina
• Must apply through the San Francisco Match (SF Match) program for fellowship selection

The Fellowship in Uveitis and Medical Retina at UICOM is an advanced ophthalmology fellowship designed to provide specialized clinical and research training in the diagnosis and management of ocular inflammatory diseases and medical retinal disorders. The program offers comprehensive exposure to conditions such as uveitis, scleritis, autoimmune and infectious ocular inflammation, retinal vascular diseases, and other non-surgical retinal disorders. Fellows receive hands-on experience in patient evaluation, retinal imaging, intravitreal therapies, immunomodulatory treatment approaches, clinical research, and multidisciplinary ophthalmic care under expert faculty supervision.
