The Sports Medicine Fellowship at UMass Chan Medical School is a 12-month ACGME-accredited Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship designed to provide comprehensive training in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of sports- and exercise-related conditions. Training covers fracture care, sports injury prevention, concussion, physical therapy, strength and conditioning, exercise-related illness and injury, nutrition, pharmacology, sports psychology, and sports medicine ethics. Fellows gain extensive clinical and team-coverage experience with high schools, colleges, Division I–III athletics, and the Boston Red Sox minor league system, along with opportunities for research, teaching, presentations, and formal didactic education.
