The Pediatric Urology Fellowship at UCSF School of Medicine is a 2-year ACGME-accredited fellowship consisting of one year of intensive clinical pediatric urology followed by a second year focused on research, with an optional Transitional Urology Track. Clinical training covers outpatient and inpatient pediatric urology, complex and ambulatory surgery, urodynamics, spina bifida, fetal treatment, transplantation, reconstruction, disorders of sex development, and pediatric oncology. The research year offers opportunities in basic science, clinical outcomes, health services, and transitional urology research. Fellows also participate in multidisciplinary care, educational conferences, teaching, and limited attending call during the second year. Training takes place at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals in San Francisco Mission Bay and Oakland.
