The Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship at UCSF School of Medicine, San Francisco is a three-year advanced training program that prepares physicians for careers in pediatric rheumatology and academic medicine. Fellows receive comprehensive clinical training in the diagnosis and management of childhood-onset rheumatic, autoimmune, and inflammatory diseases, with experience at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals in San Francisco and Oakland. Training includes longitudinal patient care, joint injections, multidisciplinary care, and rotations in adult rheumatology, pediatric immunology, autoimmune dermatology, uveitis, sports medicine, pediatric pain medicine, and laboratory medicine. The program also emphasizes scholarly development through clinical, translational, basic science, genetics, epidemiology, clinical trials, outcomes research, and quality improvement opportunities.
