Fellowship in Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology

1. MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
2. Completed an accredited Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery residency.
3. Passing scores on required U.S. licensing exams (USMLE/COMLEX).
4. Valid U.S. medical licensure eligibility (e.g., state training license).
5. Submission of application with CV, personal statement, letters of recommendation, and exam scores by the deadline.
6. Invitation to interview by the fellowship selection committee.

The Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware is an ACGME-accredited one-year clinical subspecialty program providing advanced training in pediatric ENT surgery and care. Fellows train alongside experienced board-certified pediatric otolaryngologists in a high-volume surgical and clinical environment, gaining expertise in a broad spectrum of pediatric otolaryngology conditions — including airway disorders, cochlear implantation, head and neck surgery, otology, rhinology, sleep-related breathing disorders, and cleft/craniofacial care. Fellows participate in multidisciplinary meetings (e.g., aerodigestive, radiology, cochlear implant candidacy conferences), supervise Otolaryngology residents during inpatient and ED consults, and participate in outpatient clinics such as Voice Clinic, Vestibular Clinic, and Complex Sleep Clinic. The fellowship emphasizes clinical skill-building, surgical proficiency, teaching of trainees, and supported research opportunities. Graduates are prepared for careers in pediatric surgical practice in academic or private settings.
