Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (FPOS)

1. Must have completed an accredited ophthalmology residency program.
2. Must be Board eligible in Ophthalmology.
3. A California medical license is required before starting the fellowship.
4. The program currently does not sponsor applicants who require a visa.

The Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Fellowship is a one-year AUPO FCC-compliant fellowship, with an optional second year, providing comprehensive clinical and surgical training in pediatric eye disorders and strabismus. Most training takes place at The Vision Center at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), with additional training at Los Angeles General Medical Center. Fellows gain experience in strabismus, anterior segment disease, retinopathy of prematurity, neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastics, and ocular oncology, preparing them for careers in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus.
