The Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) is a two-year program providing advanced training in the care of hospitalized infants, children, and adolescents with acute, chronic, and medically complex conditions. Fellows gain clinical experience primarily at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, with additional training at Regional One Health and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The program includes inpatient pediatric hospital medicine, newborn care, intermediate care, palliative care, and management of technology-dependent patients. Fellows also develop skills in teaching, quality improvement, leadership, research, and multidisciplinary collaboration, with a mentored research project throughout the fellowship.
