Fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology

1. Applicants must hold a medical degree from an eligible medical school.
2. Applicants must complete three years of training in an accredited residency program that qualifies them to take the American Board of Pediatrics certifying examination.
3. Applicants must meet the applicable California medical licensing requirements before starting the fellowship.

The University of California San Diego (UC San Diego) is a public research university in La Jolla, California, recognized for its medical education, clinical training, and scientific research. Its School of Medicine collaborates with Rady Children’s Hospital–San Diego to provide specialized pediatric healthcare and postgraduate training. The Fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology is a three-year program that prepares physicians to diagnose and manage hormonal and metabolic disorders in infants, children, and adolescents. Fellows gain clinical experience in pediatric diabetes, growth and puberty disorders, thyroid and adrenal diseases, pituitary conditions, obesity, and differences in sex development. The program combines clinical training with research, multidisciplinary care, teaching, and mentorship to prepare fellows for careers in pediatric endocrinology and academic medicine.
