Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care

The Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School is a 3-year ACGME-accredited fellowship providing advanced training in the care of critically ill infants, children, and adolescents. Fellows receive extensive clinical experience in the PICU and CVICU, including management of complex medical and surgical conditions, ECMO, mechanical circulatory support, transplantation, trauma, cardiac critical care, and multisystem organ failure. The program also emphasizes research, medical education, simulation, bedside procedures, scientific writing, statistics, and academic leadership, preparing fellows for careers as clinician-educators and clinician-investigators.

1. Apply through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service).
2. Submit the required fellowship application and supporting documents.
3. Submit three letters of recommendation, preferably including letters from a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine faculty member and the residency program director.
4. Eligible applicants are considered for the interview process.
5. The program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) for fellowship selection.
