Fellowship in Optometry Glaucoma

• Must have completed an accredited Optometry residency program.
• Must hold a Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree or equivalent qualification.
• Must submit an Optometry school transcript.
• Must provide an NBEO (National Board of Examiners in Optometry) score report.
• Must submit a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and three letters of recommendation (including one from the current residency program director).
• Must provide a letter of intent/future professional career plan outlining interest in glaucoma care.

The Optometry Glaucoma Fellowship at UICOM is a one-year advanced clinical training program designed for optometrists who have completed residency training and wish to develop specialized expertise in glaucoma diagnosis, management, and patient care. The fellowship provides extensive clinical exposure in a high-volume glaucoma clinic, including comprehensive glaucoma evaluations, monitoring of disease progression, interpretation of diagnostic tests, and co-management of glaucoma patients with ophthalmologists. Fellows also participate in clinical education, research activities, case discussions, and academic programs to enhance their skills in advanced ocular disease management.
