Fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesia

The Obstetric Anesthesia Fellowship at UCSF School of Medicine, San Francisco is an ACGME-accredited, one-year advanced training program designed to develop expertise in obstetric anesthesiology. The fellowship focuses on providing comprehensive, hands-on clinical training in the management of labor analgesia, cesarean delivery anesthesia, and high-risk obstetric cases. Fellows work in a high-volume, tertiary care environment, gaining exposure to complex maternal conditions and multidisciplinary care alongside specialists in maternal-fetal medicine, neonatology, and critical care. The program aims to train future leaders in obstetric anesthesiology, preparing graduates for successful careers in both academic medicine and specialized clinical practice.
