Fellowship in Neuroradiology

The Neuroradiology Fellowship at UCSF School of Medicine provides advanced training in diagnostic neuroradiology, covering brain and spine imaging, spine procedures, pediatric neuroradiology, functional MRI, spectroscopy, PET, head and neck imaging, angiography, neurograms, and exposure to Neuro Endovascular Surgery. The program offers extensive multidisciplinary training through weekly interdisciplinary conferences and opportunities for research across neuroradiology specialties. UCSF offers multiple fellowship pathways, including a clinical year followed by a junior faculty Clinical Instructor year for physicians pursuing academic careers.

1. Apply through ERAS when the application cycle opens; UCSF does not accept external candidates outside the Match.
2. Register for the NRMP Neuroradiology Fellowship Match.
3. Submit the required application materials:

5. Personal statement describing career goals and plans
6. Digital headshot
7. USMLE/COMLEX or equivalent examination scores
8. 3 current letters of recommendation, including one from the current program director; up to 5 letters may be submitted.
4. Ensure the application is complete, as UCSF reviews only completed applications for interview consideration.
5. Selected applicants are invited for an interview, which is conducted virtually.
6. Applicants participate in the NRMP ranking and Match process.
7. Before appointment, successful candidates must complete credentialing, California medical licensing, and employment/visa requirements.
