Fellowship in Neuroradiology

• Must have completed an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency or equivalent training
• Must hold an MD / DO or equivalent medical degree
• Should be board-certified or board-eligible in Radiology (ABR or equivalent)
• Must be eligible for medical licensure in Maryland (USA) (mandatory, especially for advanced/instructor year)
• Must apply through and participate in the NRMP Neuroradiology Match
• Strong interest in neuroradiology / neuroimaging
• For International Medical Graduates (IMGs):
• ECFMG certification required
• Eligibility for visa sponsorship (commonly J-1)
• Research experience in radiology or neuroscience is preferred but not mandatory

The Neuroradiology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHUSOM), Baltimore is a one-year ACGME-accredited subspecialty training program designed to provide advanced expertise in imaging of the brain, spine, and head & neck. The fellowship duration is one year, with an optional second year available for advanced training or research. The program offers comprehensive hands-on experience in advanced neuroimaging techniques such as MRI, CT, angiography, and image-guided procedures, with exposure to a wide range of neurological conditions including stroke, tumors, trauma, infections, and degenerative diseases. Fellows work in a multidisciplinary environment alongside neurology, neurosurgery, and oncology teams, gaining in-depth clinical and diagnostic skills. The fellowship also emphasizes academic development, teaching, and research, with opportunities to participate in clinical and translational studies, preparing fellows for careers in academic neuroradiology and specialized clinical practice.
