The Neuro-Ophthalmology Fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School is a 1-year paid fellowship providing advanced clinical and surgical training in complex neuro-ophthalmic disorders. Fellows gain extensive exposure to thyroid eye disease, adult strabismus, neuro-radiology, temporal artery biopsy, electroretinogram interpretation, fundoscopy, and medical botulinum toxin injections. Ophthalmology-trained fellows also receive advanced surgical experience in complex adult strabismus and may continue cataract surgery. The program offers flexible training based on the fellow’s background and career interests.
